We singed a contract with Colombo Dockyard PLC in Sri Lanka for delivery of a large equipment package to a cable laying vessel under construction for Kokusai Cable Ship Co. Ltd (KCS) in Japan.  The vessel (of VARD 9 01 design) is tailor-made for efficient installation and repair of subsea has a cable laying capacity of 5,000 tons. Measuring 111.3 metres in length, 21.5 metres in breadth, 8.80 metres depth and providing accommodation facilities for 80 persons it is the biggest ever vessel to be built by Colombo Dockyard PLC.

Delivery is scheduled for March 2019.

  • 2 x lifeboats with davits – KISS 1000 C and VIP 1000
  • 1 x rescue boat with davit – RSQ 450 G and NPDS 1300 H
  • 1 x rescue boat with davit – PRHE 25-2 with RRB 500 x 60 HP
